Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee is a useful standalone tool for people who like to use big words. Just type in a word, and if it's not a word in the dictionary, it will make some suggestions. Click on the "..." or press the up/down arrow keys to see more suggestions. It features auto-copy, auto-checking, and two different visual styles.

Alicia- When someone else encountered this error before, it ended up being that they didn't have one of the fonts installed. I believe it was either Lucida Sans Unicode or Lucida, though I can't seem to find the post where we identified that as being the problem. In any case, make sure both of those fonts are installed - they have both shipped with Windows since Windows 98, but it's possible that they've been uninstalled or deactivated.

This looks great, but doesn't seem to work... I can type in it but it's not making any suggestions :( The bee does it's little dance and the speech bubble appears, but it's empty.

I speak five languages but can't spell in neither one of them..thanks for making my life easier.This Widget is fantastic!!

I really like this, and am very happy to have it doing UK english now. I use this a lot at work and home. I like being able to change the colour, and personally I like the bee. The only (slight) problem is that since the change to the new version, and the new version of the widget engine, it is missing its right hand side, it just ends in an un-bordered straight edge instead of curving round. Does not affect the function though. A truly helpful widget. Victoria J.

I LOVE this little widget!!!
Its easy to customise so it fits in with your colour scheme and checks the word very quickly. If only all widgets were this good!
