I picked this up as a potential solution to a problem my wife and I have:
We both have Hotmail accounts, but use the same computer (a Mac).
It's annoying to have to re-type our email address in every time we want to log in.
First, I put in a box for Hotmail, so I can shift-click on it to bring up the web page, which also automatically puts the cursor in the 'email address' field.
Next, I plugged each of our hotmail addresses into separate stampers, and enabled the 'auto-paste…9; feature.
With this setup, I can shift-click once to open Hotmail, and then click to enter my email address. If we weren't concerned about security, we could probably use the stamper for our passwords, too.
My only gripe with the Stamper is that you cannot control the number of boxes it displays. Once that can be controlled (limit to a single column, with only the boxes used?) it will be even leaner, taking up less screen space when open.
GREAT APP, THOUGH!! Thank you for saving us a little aggravation!More
Its so useful! It hides at a corner and dosen't obstruct you. When you've thought of a brilliant idea, just bring it up and type it in. And then it quietly hides back in. Cool stuff!
