I normally do not run the Yahoo Widget "dock", only the system tray icon. Today, I got a popup from the system tray icon advising to "open the widget dock" to check for available widget upgrades. Once the dock was open, I clicked on the "up arrow" at the lower left of the Stock Ticker Tape widget displayed within the widget dock and this quickly upgraded my widget to version 1.8.2. This was super easy! All my previously configured Stock Ticker Tape widget prefer…ences were saved automatically into the new 1.8.2 widget version. My Stock Ticker Tape widget is again running perfectly! Thanks very much to author Paul Brill for such a great widget. More

Dear Mr. Brill, Just downloaded this widget and it's really fantastic - first one that just enjoys being at the bottom of my display all day and doesn't get in the way. I've noticed though that if I choose a symbol that's long - such as ^MSTAR - the values get scrunched up against (and sometimes over) the symbol. Is there a way for me to set up the display so that there's a consistent gap between the symbol and the value? I'm looking at the options, but can't find a fix. Thanks again for a great widget - it's super.

Thank you so much for fixing whatever caused the widget to blow up a couple of weeks ago. I've been suffering through using the Yahoo one since then and have been thoroughly annoyed by it not updating, nor showing the DJI. The Yahoo ticker still shows the Dow is up and it's been negative for two hours.
