Yahoo! made some changes to their finance page formatting which in turn has rendered this widget as defective.

I really like your widget and use it very often!

But it wonders me why you always parse the whole yahoo page? This caused errors in the past and will continue to produce errors in future. The best way imo is to read the Excel export. There will be no more parsing problems because that format remains stable.

Parameter f determines which columns you will get.

Thank you Paul. This a great widget. You have no idea how suck Yahoo Finance widget can get. Believe or not, it can't even find "C" (Citigroup)!!!!! Yours is the best in my opinion. Hope the new update will come out soon. Keep up the good work.

I am aware of the CSV feed. In fact, I am leveraging it for one of the iPhone applications that I am currently developing. If I remember correctly, when I first created the “Scuttlebutt” widget the Yahoo! Finance web page format did not change that often (it was basic HTML). However, your post is the catalyst I needed to bite the bigger bullet and refactor the quote module. It sure would be nice to stop the increasingly frequent churning I go through now. I must have received over 100 emails… this time around!
