I can't believe it. The next big project I was going to take on was a sudoku puzzle program that had almost the same design features yours has (pencil mark grid and the like).

It may be that you are doing a puzzle with more than one correct answer. This possible, but is considered to be a poorly formed Sudoku puzzle. Please send me an example of both the puzzle and the "incorrect" solution.

Thanks for the kind comments. I appreciate folks who use my widgets! As to your question about fixing the puzzle check, I don't find any problems with it in my tests. I ran a few today to make sure.

Let me be sure that you are using the interface correctly. The checkmark that appears after you have every square answered does not indicate that you are correct. You have to click on it when you are done to test the puzzle. A green response means correct, and a red response means t…hat there are errors.

So, let me ask you how you know that the puzzle answer is incorrect? Since SuWi does not have the answer stored in memory, it does a simple check of the completed puzzle based on the definition of Sudoku: Each column, row, and box must have one and only one occurance of the digits 1-9. If you meet that requirement, the puzzle is correctly solved.

Darrel, LOVE your widget. So much better than any others out there. However.... I have noticed that if I get the puzzle wrong, it still marks it as correct at the end. Can you fix that?
