Wow, I played around with Konfabulator one evening a few months ago and submitted this simple widget. I happend to stop back by to take a look and there were over 100,000 downloads!
To answer a few questons, all this really does is open the web page www.time.gov and display the image there. That's why it will not work when you are not connected to the internet. For that case use the EarthFall widget that draws the map itself.
I uploaded a new version (1.1) that allows you to scale up to 200%. Also the border color is selectable, or you can remove it all together.

It would be nice and surely not that difficult to develop a version of this widget that gets its time reference from the computer's own clock instead of having to be online, for those of us who are stuck with dialup. Otherwise, this is a very asthetically appealing widget, a beautiful update and a huge improvement over a similar program that I have that believe it or not, runs under MS-DOS. with a CGA output. Thank you for creating this widget.

I very much like this. It would be nice if it could show time overlays for certain locations (I've actually kludged this by putting World Clock Pro widgets over it).
