Sun Compass

Turns your laptop into a ridiculously expensive electronic compass! If you know your location, and your clock is set properly, this Widget acts as a sundial in reverse. Spin your computer until the lines on the Widget line up with the shadows and then read off North and South.

Chances are, you'll never need this Widget, but if you do, it could be a lifesaver! After all, how often can your computer really point you in the right direction?

Works much better when the aquamagneto spectrum is highest. ie: take your laptop under water ( a pool will work ). Point the keyboard part toward the filter intake, or a passing Grouper. Works like a charm.

You guys are all morons... "It doesn't move"...lol, idiots. It's not suppose to move, how does the laptop know if you're spinning it - huh?

Nice idea! Finally a lifesaver Widget! ;-)
Unfortunately, I don't have a laptop.... :-(
But still a cool idea!

Set the laptop so the screen is flat against the floor/table. Adjust it so that the bottom part (With the keyboard) is perpindicular to the screen. Turn the laptop so that the shadow (FROM THE SUN) cast by the bottom portion of the laptop aligns with the lines going across the clock. Reposition the widget if necessary. When the shadow lines up with the lines on the widget, the compass needle should be pointing north.
