A rather cool effect. After saying this I don't think this an actual representation of La Lune orbit. C'mon track it with any steallar map. It doesn't follow the Sun like that. Boo Yah!
After reading the helpful feedback on how to install and configure the longitude and latitude I am now watching the sun crawl across my desktop. Love it. Looking forward to the next release so I can have my boat home before dark!!!
Very, very cool!! When entering Latitude and Longitude enter them only as degrees . Do not include any munutes or seconds or the widget won't work, Correct Example=Longitude (in degrees): 63 Latitude (in degrees): 18 Incorrect Example=Longitude (in degrees, minutes, seconds): 63.07.207 Latitude (in degrees, minutes, seconds): 18.02.295.
I've been watching the sun work its way across my screen as I work. Now, I can't wait to see the moon.
Have fun with this one and thank y…ou, so much to Mr. Charlie Chambers for his sharing of this fine widget.
First, download it ;)
Then extract it to somewhere (zip file), depend on your OS (Win or Mac), go inside. Find a file with name sun.widget and open it (if Yahoo Widget installed correctly), and it will run.
However, depend on your setting, "Sun" and "Moon" should visible or you will not see it (it hide somewhere =)). So, go to setting (go with sidebar if you don't see where widget is), change the Longitude and Latitude, I… suggest 90, 45 then it should display at center of your screen. Increase a size if you don't feel comfortable.
PS: The image is not nice enough, hope author can make some other images or allow select another image (I want really woman in the moon and man in the sun :D)
