But it seems that on Mac OS X 10.3.9 it does not behave well with regards to "floating" and "desktop" window levels. That is, on "desktop" level it can still be brought in front of other windows by clicking on it (and Expose pushes it away when revealing the screen), and on "floating" level other windows can be put in front of it; apart from that, when in "floating" mode, it still reacts to mouse clicks.
And…, Deacon, the virtual memory works OK on the Mac, so I suggest we'll just leave it there, not eliminate it ;-)More

Great job! would rate it 4 were it not for a few areas for improvement:
1) Option to remove Virtual Memory from the stats (I have my pagefile disabled in XP)
2) Option to show HDD access, perhaps via a light that corresponds to the HDD LED on the front of my computer.
3) Option to set font face
4) Option to set font decoration (bold, etc)
5) Option to set font size
I personally would rather either eliminate the virtual memory altogether (acceptable) or be able to replace it with a simple hard… drive activity indicator (preferred).
Regardless, though, like I said, great job! Perfect example of how to do a sysinfo widget. Doesn't get in the way, doesn't obscure half the frickin' screen, etc.More
