systemDashboard - Memory Monitor

by Justin Pulsipher

The sixth in the systemDashboard series, the Memory Monitor has up to six different monitor graphs, each of which can be customized to show any combination of Virtual Memory, Physical Memory, or the free drive space of any of the drives on your computer. The color of each graph changes from green to yellow to red gradually as the amount of free memory decreases. You can change which monitors are running at any time by right clicking on the Widget and selecting "Select Monitors".

Requires an installed BSD subsystem if you're on a Mac.

I concur with a network traffic widget, that would be cool! I like that this is configurable for which columns show what, so I can make a cool pattern. ;) It took me a minute to figure out how to get the percentages by clicking on the column. But for win2k, I can't seem to click each one in succession to get the info. I have to click off somewhere else, then back on the next column. Not that I would typically check the percentages in a row... I prefer the bars that stay in line with t More

well... yeah... a network (or traffik) widget with UP and DOWN speeds in kb/s would be really a good one... man... i dont know how to do that... "i am a doctor, not a widget maker" :))

I really like this series, fine job! A few thoughts: I'd like to see the bar graph expand to the width of the dial when only one item is being montiored. Would it be possible to put a numeric readout, perhaps a "percentage consumed" under the graph -- readability could be an issue if the diameter is too small though. Finally, I'd like the upper 'reflection' to be a shade or two darker or gradated. Thank you from the peanut gallery.

Awesome widget! Would it be possible for you to make a Network Widget that has the same theme? You know, it'd show you up and down speeds in kbps?
