systemDashboard - Wireless meter

The third in the systemDashboard series, this Widget monitors your wireless connection, and returns it as both a percentage and as a series of concentric rings that dim and change color as your signal strengthens and weakens. Inspired by the dashboards of fancy sports cars.

I keep getting this error after my laptop comes back from Sleep Mode. I'm running a Dell Inspiron 8500, with Windows XP SP2.

Hi, I use wireless broadband for my home computer (Windows)...but this widget just reads " 0% " and goes dim if I take it off "really sugarcoated". However, my connection is smoking...what gives? Will this widget work for my application?

Andrew, as of right now, K does not report the information necessary to be able to make an ethernet or modem monitor.

Hi! I updated the driver for my wireless card & that helped! You're gonna laugh...cause now it's consistently 20% over. :) even with it set to straight percent. But at least it's not at 0% all the time! Thanks for your help! Jessica

Hi! The calibration would be cool, but I know it's on my end, as all of the wireless widgets show barely connected. I haven't tried to update lately. I know on my desktop winME, I upgraded and dlink totally stopped working, but haven't tried it on my win2k laptop (so I can't use the winxp thing). Thanks for considering! I'll try updating the driver on my laptop & let you know. PS - I'd be happy to beta.
