TachClock

by Peter Govaars

I always wanted a modern interpretation of a pocket watch to match this digital age we live in. Since I had no way to build it in real life, I did the next best thing: I created a Konfabulator Widget instead.

This clock displays time using a 'digital tachometer' style display, where each lit indicator represents an elapsed hour, minute, or second. Simply read the number of indicators lit for the hours, minutes, and seconds to determine the time. Fortunately, this is easier than it might More

I know you've heard this before (on both comments actually) but I must reiterate. I downloaded Widgets just for this clock, and if you ever sell this design to a watch maker please let me know. Outstanding piece of artistry, ingenuity, and imagination. Well done, Mr. Govaars.

Whatever you have set as the key to raise the clock, that key is no longer available to use for ANY other application. For example, I had the raise key set to Alt + C. Suddenly, I could no longer type a capital C, anywhere in Windows. If you change it to "none," it still locks out your last choice. I tried making it Alt + the asterisk on the number pad, but it just changed it to alt + 8, so I couldn't type a *. Looks good, but this bug is too big to overlook.
