    ssadams1111,

Perhaps there is some restriction related to your using the Administrator account. Can you create a normal user account, install YWE and the Widget there and see if you get the same loading problem.

The log should look something like this:
Loaded Widget 'The Widgets Widget' from C:Documents and SettingsBrendan BellinaMy DocumentsMy WidgetsThe Widgets Widget.widget
    Version: 2.38
[The Widgets Widget] Included file 'VersionChecker.js' (VersionChecker.js)

    Jason,

Task Manager often shows a Widget as running but if you end it it will say that the program isn't responding. I don't think that is a problem.

It looks from the log like the widget is running and has gotten far enough to get the list of widgets, so my only guess is something is causing it to not appear. It could be that the main window offset is somehow corrupted or that it has been set to only appear in the Heads Up Display. Verify that it shows it is running in Task Manager More

Tried your suggestion but without success. Same debug output as before, except for the new account.

    ssadams1111,

I'm guessing that the widget is failing on the COM statement used to open a connection to YWE. If you've installed YWE normally I don't know why the COM statement would be a problem on your system. My system, like yours, is also Win XP Pro SP2 and latest YWE. So, at the moment, I'm at a loss. If I come up with anything I'll post it. Sorry.

    Regards

The WE just comes up with "The Widget Was Unable To Load Itself Successfully" when i attempt to run it? Ive tried redownloading it but it doesn't want to work. Im using XP on a non admin account and running the widgets from my U3 usb key. I have also tried using it from my hard drive which also didn't work, any ideas?
