A cross-platform Widget set launcher.
Assign Widgets to up to 8 groups and then open and close them with a single button click. This version is compatible with Y!WE 3 and tested with Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4 and Windows XP Pro.

clicking on the group button will open the widget(s) but trying to close the widgets does not work - they seem to reflash and reappear on the same group screen. I believe more testing is required to make this a usable product.

November 16, 2007 · version 2.38 Brendan BellinaYes, there is no manipulation of the Preference files themselves, so if you have the same Widget in multiple groups it is the same Widget and will have the same prefs and location. My WidgetSwitcher Widget does manipulate the preference files directly and would allow what you are asking, but it is Mac-only.

November 16, 2007 · version 2.38No, I must not have explained properly. The Widgets Widget is installed and running. I have a group icon called "Dashboard". When I click on it, it brings up the group of widgets as expected. Now when I click on the Dashboard icon again, it closes all of the widgets, again as expected. What is not expected, however, is that after the last widget closes, all of the widgets in the group open back up again. Seems to be a bug.
