I know the reopening problem has been reported on XP Pro. Anyone running Mac OS X seeing this behavior?

I'm not sure what would be causing the widgets to reopen after closing. In order to troubleshoot it would be helpful to know what OS people are having this problem on. Please let me know.

Not sure what close button you mean. There really isn't one.

When you click - not double-click - on a group button (click on the name, not the plus button to the left of the name) all of the widgets in that group should open. When you want to close all of them click again on the group button (the name not the plus) and they should close. They shouldn't reopen unless you click a second time.

It is in the widget about box. If you start The Widgets Widget it should tell you there is a new version available and give you the option of going to the website (unless you turned off automatic version checking in the widget context menu). You can also select "Check for an update..." from the widget context menu and it will force an immediate check for a new version. This method should continue to work even if I relocate my site. For now my site is at its.usc.edu/~bbellina/downlo…ads.

An additional note for those using Windows and having the reopening widget problem. Another feature that relies on the ability of the widget to be able to tell what widgets are running is the plus button used to update a group. So if you have to use shift-click to close widgets, you should also avoid clicking the plus button to update a group and instead drag and drop widgets onto the plus button or manually edit the group. I recommend the drag and drop method.
