A cross-platform Widget set launcher.
Assign Widgets to up to 8 groups and then open and close them with a single button click. This version is compatible with Y!WE 3 and tested with Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.4 and Windows XP Pro.

I needed to login to Yahoo mail the other day but got a Security alert error when trying to sign in. After searching the web and trying several reinstalls, I manually cleared the registry and my Application Data cache after another uninstall. When I reinstalled, with no other widgets yet running, I tried the Widgets widgets and it worked!
Likely a registry setting?
Anyway, it works now and I am happy to give 4 stars

Thanks for the debug listing. It looks like you are seeing the same error that ssadams1111 has reported. This is an error I have not yet been able to duplicate, and since I use XP SP2 myself I know that the widget can work on XP. Others using XP have also been using it without this error. The error seems to have something to do with COM, which is used to close the widgets. If I can come up with a non-COM based alternative or can duplicate and correct the error I'll update the w… More

Try using Debug Mode as described in the comments below to see if there is a more detailed error message. I don't think it should matter where you are running the widget from, but I always run mine from the My Documents/My Widgets folder and haven't tested running them from somewhere else. This doesn't mean it is a problem, just that I don't test for it.

November 16, 2007 · version 2.38 gazjhallThe WE just comes up with "The Widget Was Unable To Load Itself Successfully" when i attempt to run it? Ive tried redownloading it but it doesn't want to work. Im using XP on a non admin account and running the widgets from my U3 usb key. I have also tried using it from my hard drive which also didn't work, any ideas?
