Time Vault
Time Vault is a free Widget that will help you keep track of the time you spend on any given task. Click the play button when you start and click it once again when you have finished.
The tasks are grouped by projects and can be viewed by clicking on the arrow button. If you make a mistake, you can edit or delete a task by right-clicking on it.
This Widget works without the need of any external offline or online tool.

gpzbc, I'm not sure I will make it act as a countdown as that would almost be a different kind of widget. How would you suggest it should work? There are also specialized countdown timers like this one: http://widgets.yahoo.com/gallery/view.php?widget=41339

November 15, 2007 · version 1.0.13 Steve MFollow up to my previous post: regarding #1 - there's a summary view & detail is also available in Excel; regarding #2 - now I see how it works... hmmm, this way is actually very convenient.
Great widget. At work I've been using a timer from CCH's Visual Time (Wolters Kluwer) and their product totally sucks - I finally found a great replacement.

November 15, 2007 · version 1.0.13 Steve MLooks great, nice design, and I would really like to use it, but... 1) when I stop the timer it immediately resets the time to zero - I would expect it to just stop the time so that I could continue with that project at some later point 2) when the timer is running, I can switch between two projects, but the time stays the same, i.e. it keeps going as if the projects didn't change. Any suggestions? If not for the above, I would give it 5+ stars.
