TimeTracker

You enter the name of the task you are working on and press the button. Press the button again when you have finished working on the task.

The Widget updates a daily XML or CSV file. The file stores a list of the tasks you've worked on, and how long you worked on each one for. You can import the timesheet files into an application like Excel, or write your own script to convert the files into another format.

The information stored in the timesheet files are: task name, length in mil More

I have the latest "W. Eng", and still getting thesame comm.

I strongly belive that this error msg has to do with XP Home Edit, even equip. with latest SPack.

Right now I working on small Action script to make nice summary out of data collected by your timetracker. When I'll be done I'll post link and source.
Maybe I'll get in to the widget coding and write small reader/summarizer.

Is it possible to send those file to some ftp locations, instead of local drive?
Directly from widget? Propably it will require .net framwork. Maybe not. What do you say Carl?

Stephs idea is good, I will take a look at how to add the last few manually typed in tasks to the context menu as well as the predefined ones.

I'm not sure why some people are having trouble running the widget, maybe they need a newer version of the widget engine? I've only tried it on Windows XP Pro SP2 and OS X. I used the flat file converter to package the widget (converter.exe from the SDK, on the command line with the -flat switch), so this widget does not use the zip file format. Please make sure you have the latest version of Yahoo Widget Engine.

It would be need to extend the widged to something close to TimeStamp:
    http://www.syntap.com/downloads.htm
There is also a dotNet version:
    http://www.syntap.com/timestampforum/viewtopic.php?t=44

    The sources are available too.
Currently it is of no use for me. But if it would get closer to the dotNet version, that would be perfect.

Great widget! I wanted to take a look at the internals, but I'm having problems. I first tried to unzip TimeTracker.widget, but 7Zip wouldn't let me. I then tried to open TimeTracker.widget in a text editor, but that also didn't work. Is there something that I'm missing? I'm using Windows XP.

    Thanks again!
