Requires Y!WE 3.1+ due to the flat-file format used. Also requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework for screen capturing on Windows. To move this Widget, you must hold control (Win) or command (Mac), click, and drag.

November 15, 2007 · version 2.2.1 BrianSimilar issue as zentenosis with original Dimon Tinted Glasses lead me here: ONLY SINCE new Widgets Engine 4.0, Dimon Tinted Glasses dims and un-dims correctly FIRST time after re-boot but then dims progressively reduced amounts until no dimming is perceptible. Will let you know how Tint Screen v2.2.1 works out with Widgets Engine 4.0.

November 15, 2007 · version 2.2.1@zetenosis: I've seen a few other issues with the newest release of Y!W, but not this one. How is Tint Screen applying the tint when this happens? Are you manually pressing the button or using one of the timers? It sounds like your timing option may have been switched to one of the "Screen Saver" options, which allow for detinting on mouseclick/mousemove. If this is not the case, any other information regarding your Tint Screen preference would be helpful. We can continue this… More

November 15, 2007 · version 2.2.1 AnneI love this Widget. It worked beautifully until I downloaded the latest widget engine -- 4.0. Now it tints the screen but when I click on anyting on the tinted screen, e.g., an icon, etc., it untints that item. Is there an incompatibility with the latest engine or am I just not doing something correctly? As I say, it has worked fine for months until the download. Any ideas how to fix??

November 15, 2007 · version 2.2.1Henry: that is correct. Since I don't want Tint Screen constantly polling the system to make sure it's always on top (very resource intensive,) any other "always on top" app's (including the Windows Taskbar) will go above the tint. For the Taskbar, one thing you could try is deselecting the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" option under the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties (right-click the Taskbar and select Properties.)

November 15, 2007 · version 2.2.1this is a very good widget. thus far i have only one concern--when the tint is turned on, my taskbar pops out in front of the tint, so that there is a bar on the bottom of my screen that's as bright as daylight. is there a setting i may have overlooked? it seems that any application set to be "always on top" will show up "on top" of the tint...
