    another thing:

pre-settings of a todo-item with correct timeline and importance,
depending on where you have right-clicked to add the new todo-item.

and a preference item for "would you really like to remove the item" y/n
for not accidentally mark an item done.

This is a very neat widget and I find it very useful.
I have the following suggestion- Add the ability to use a common shared file for storing the todo list (e.g.: the laptop is shared by my wife and me, with separate accounts on it, but want to see the same list of tasks). An extension to this would be to pull the list from a web-site/location which will make the list available anywhere.

    Very Nice Widget!

But it would be very very nice if I could edit the names of the roles!

You see I don't have kids yet, so parent and family is the same role for me.
On the other hand I have lots of things on my to do list for some very individual roles in my life.

I looked into the code and it wouldn't be very hard to do.
I would love to see this in the next version of todo.

It appears something in the world has changed in the Yahoo engine and/or Windows to cause the widget to store its data in a different place in some cases...

right click on the widget, select "widget preferences", click on the "Files" icon, and select a known good file path and hit "save". then right click on the widget again and select "File Save" and you should see the file " todo.xml" show up in whatever path you selected in the previous step. In my case, all worked well after that.

Wow, very nice Widget. I love the categorizing features. I'm not sure if anyone can even improve on this. One thing I was thinking of was of a countdown to deadline feature? Like a reminder that you have 2 hour left, or two days left or 2 week left etc... But that's just an aside not necessary. This is still the best organizing tool I have seen or used. Thanks and good work!
