A simple translator that uses the Altavista Babelfish Web translation service. It support over than 11 different languages and can translate phrases.
To switch languages quickly, right-click (or Control-click on a Mac with a one-button mouse) on the language abbreviations on the left.
To translate, press the buttons on the bottom of the Widget or press the enter key.

November 07, 2006 · version 1.2 ChristineI'm using this widget to translate Japanese and I have a couple issues with it. First, is there any way the widget's size could be increased or decreased with a resizer in the corner? I find it far too small to be able to see the strokes of the Kanji. Also, is there any way that Kanji and Hiragana could be interchangable? Sometimes I'd like to know just the Kanji, but other times I'd prefer to know the Hiragana so I know how to pronounce the word. Otherwise, it's pretty darn good and I love everything else it offers! Thanks! :)

October 13, 2006 · version 1.2 catbaitFor what's available, this widget is leading the pack. Translation engine needs help. Try a backwards translation of original term to see if you get your initial search back. Otherwise, and minor is a better method of choosing paste function than the I on the drop down menu, without line highlighting it would really be confusing.
