Widget works OK, I just find it less useful than some of the other traffic widgets. The chunked nature of the displayed lines of traffic doesn't convey much info. I prefer to see the actual traffic incidents on a map as well as relative speeds.
Sacramento is available through the web version, but not in this widget version.

    Toby,

This widget makes use of an animated gif retrieved over the web. Unfortunately the widget engine itself has complete control of rendering the image. For some reason it would appear that any animated gif (retrieved locally or remotely) takes a rather high amount of processor resources and can trigger a number of page faults. Most likely they are soft faults which are resulting in the burden on the processor.

Good widget but something is definately wrong with it. My friend and I both get 4000 page faults a second when it's running. Compared to maybe 8 pagefaults for the rest of the system. Other than that it's a good and helpful program

Check out www.trafficgauge.com for a better task tray icon version called TrafficGauge for PC. It's a quick download, and has a very simple but conveninet UI. The TrafficGauge for PC version downloads data every couple of minutes so it's always refreshed without requiring user action.

The cities that can be supported are limited to those that provide quality traffic information. Most of the major cities provide incident data, but do not make flow or congestion information available.

There are plans to support Seattle in the near future. Stay tuned!
