Any chance of such configurability? How do I go about finding out if the regional site has the data feed I need?

You'll note that if you turn text scrolling off also the cpu usage will drop dramatically. If you want the bling-bling you have to pay the performance hit man. And that's just konfabulators inbuilt functions.
There is a 1.1 in the works though that should fix a few issues that people have pointed out.

This is a really nice widget, graphically and the idea. The only complaint I have at all is the fact that it seems to use a bit more resources than it probably should. With the map up and animation on it uses around 50% of my cpu, with the animation off and the map minimized it bounces around 7-14%. Still a little much of you ask me. But overall a very nice job. Maybe the code can be reworked to allow for less cpu usage?
