TwittY!

TwittY! is a fully functional (almost) Widget that allows you to check/view and update your status on Twitter. To use this Widget, you will be prompted to signin with your Twitter username/email and password for a secure connection.
The TwittY! dock also function as a monitor and displays the number of new tweets since Twitter was last checked.
This is the initial version of this Widget and I will try to make some improvements in the next coming version. I hope you'll enjoy this Widget. Any feedback is appreciated.

Take a loot at http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/jc-sticky-deluxe.
After converting to folder look at 'JC Sticky Deluxe\Contents\Main.js'
search for 'resizeWindow'.

Follow up
amWhen clicking the Red X it only hides the widget, could this close the widget and then add another button to hide the widget.
Pages: Scrolling through a lot of stuff is just a pet-peeve of mine so not a major request.
Resizing: Grab http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/world-clock-pro and then convert it to a folder and take a look at "World Clock Pro\Contents\Resources\scaleMe.js". The widget uses a preference scale from 0-100% to resize the widget. Another idea is to use on… More

February 25, 2009 · version 1.0Thanks morph. The "number of character bug" will be fixed in the next revision. The "items per page" that you are requesting is a little bit trickier because Twitter does not provide the total items on their API. Same thing with the window resize, yahoo widgets is sort of restrictive. But I'll see what I can do.

Small bug and 2 requests
amFirst nice job.
Bug: After updating status the number of characters doesn't reset to 140 until you start typing again.
Requests: 1. Ability to have multiple pages. Have a preference to set the number of pages to view. Example - have 3 pages and each would display 'items per page' preference. 2. Ability to resize the window (at least the height).

- Added TwittY! as a source when updating status
- TwittY! now updates the number of followers and personal status on each request
- Added direct messages (read only)
- Highlight tweets on mouse over
- Setting time check interval is now available in the widget preferences
