Typing Speedometer

by William Warby

Measures your typing speed with three modes, Standard WPM which uses the official measurement of 1 word for every 5 keystrokes, WPM Actual Words which measures the actual number of words typed, and CPM (characters per minute) which measures individual keystrokes instead of words. I love this widget. If you could, could you please send me an
    e-mail at icktoofay@REMOVETHISyahoo.com (Remove REMOVETHIS),
and summerize these files? I don't get the DLL. And how do
you make it so that when you start the widget for the first time, it extracts to:
    C:Documents%20and%20Settings[USERNAME]Local%20Settings
    Application%20DataPixoriaKonfabulator?
Also, What language is the DLL written in?
Please email the answers to me.

    Ankit,

I will look into this. It's on my todo list, but I've spent the last few weeks doing updates to most of my existing Widgets and I've just started a new project today which I want to get finished before I revisit this problem. Unfortunately I'm finding the more Widgets I create, the less I am able to create new ones because there's always something that needs doing with the existing ones. Hopefully it won't be too long until I get around to this.

No I don't think that's the problem. I was talking about why it gives me only multiples of six for results. How does it calculate the words per minute in 5 character mode if you have the interval set to less than a minute?

The calculation is all done in the file script.js. The way it works is by adding a date object to an array whenever a word (or in CPM or 5 character mode a character) is typed. Those date objects then fall off the back o More
