Your widget already accepts hex (0xhhhh) input - I've sent you a private message.

This is a copy of my Barra de Lenguas widget. I modified it a lot behind the scenes to make it do this. (That is why the preferences are wrong).

As for checking the field, I would have to write Hex to Decimal conversion into the widget. To detect hex, if could look for a leading "0x".
I could round all non-hex values to prevent illegal numbers.

I think that most of the preferences are self explanatory, (English cognates). There just aren't enough Spanish widgets out there. (However, I could put English below them in the prefs.)

I've just noticed that the popup preference for Orientation displays Horizontal 10 etc., whereas the Widget actually uses lines of 18 and 9 (or 16 and 8) buttons. The prompt field that comes up on double-click should also be checked for valid decimal (0..65535) or hexadecimal (0x0000..0xFFFF) input.

A Very Useful Widget.

An English (or Multi-) Language version would be better for most people. The "begin" preference field should be checked for valid decimal (0..65535) or hexadecimal (0x0000..0xFFFF) input, and the field could do with a title and a description. An option for each button to have a tooltip with its Unicode (decimal and hexadecimal) value would also be very useful.

Could you have a couple of extra options for setting the rows and columns in the grid individually e.g. 10 x 10, 15 x 5 etc
