Great idea! I hope you'll take a few suggestions. I would like to be able to clear the events that it has gotten from the feed. I don't want to have to close and reopen the widget or wait for it to update. This is useful when you want to change the Metro Link Number after it was already set to another number. Everyone that has nothing to do with NYC has to do this right off the bat.
It might also be nice to be able to set the number of events that it will maintain. I wanted to discard th…e items that I wasn't interested in by clicking on the star on the right hand side of each event listing. I expected them to go away and my list to get smaller and more manageable. Instead the event's webpage was brought up. More

Right click on the widget and select Preferences.

The Metro Link Number is what you need. You get this number by first going to Upcoming.org and select your location, then click the orange xml button. That will pull up a RSS feed page. In the Browser's address bar the last thing should be a number. That is what you use.

I cannot find the spot to change the metro.
