USPS Address Verifier!
Uses web services from USPS to take an address, verify it, find the zip+4, and format it in the standard fashion (abreviations, etc.) that USPS wants addresses in. You can copy the formatted address into the system clipboard for ease of integration with other applications. Also looks up and displays the following information with your address: Carrier Route, County, Delivery Point, Check Digit, LAC, eLOT, eLOT Ascending/Descending Indicator, Record Type Code, PMB Designator, PMB Number, Default Flag, and EWS Flag.

JerryPFor some unknown reason this widget has dissappeared from my screen. I accidentally dragged an earlier version off the bottom of my screen and lost sight of it. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the widget several times but simply will not appear on my desktop. Any suggestions? It's a useful widget, but I can't use it if I can't see it.

A key of what the postal codes mean. (This would be very useful and practical for newbies and on the occassion one forgets what the codes represent!)
The inclusion of a mini database that keeps record of entered addresses. (could take a hell of a lot of work, but though I throw that out there!)

June 15, 2006 · version 1.7 shipwizOMIGOD THANK YOU! This is very helpful to people who do alot of shipping. I recommend a small cosmetic change. After entering in the address information to find it may not be clear to some people to just hit the ENTER bar, a nice little dot that says enter would improve the ease of use.
Also when I minimize the app, and it changes to the postal man I can't move him! Maybe it's just me, but if not I would like to be able to move the widget where I need to so it's not in the way. Thankx
