Despite the problems with newer version of the Widget engine this lil speaker is still my favorite.
I have encountered a new problem. I made a mistake by trying to open Winamp's visual window to watch all the pretty colors dance to some Loreena McKennitt. Upon trying to close the useless window I mistakenly full-screened it and threw off my whole desktop for a moment before failing and switching back.
The volume meter always had a problem with the new widget engine and adjusting displays. … Since I do not have the best video card my center display (I have a multiple display setup) often changes resolutions when I play games. The widget will always zip to the center of my middle display if the res changes. I often close Konfabulator before I play my games. I wish they would really turn off the double check to make sure you want to close it. More

Yep, the speaker image has disappeared with the latest version of the Yahoo widget engine. Hope Josef can fix it!

Best little volume notifier around. Like other widgets I use they are not getting along with 4.0.3 (176). With said new version the image of the speaker disappears. I have tried downloading/reloading but it does naught work.

before i download it, could you let me know whether it does in fact mute the sound when you click on it? And so i'm clear, it is not a volume control widget, right? it just shows you where your volume level's at. I love that it's small- just the size of an icon. if we could set hotkeys to just change the master volume (like CTRL(+) for up and CTRL(-) for down), without adding anything else to the look of this widget it would be perfect. Just a suggestion.
