That's explains my test results then. I'll see if I can come up with a way to gain animated image viewing without losing widget resizability.

The engine supports animated GIFs, but they won't animate if you resize them.

Brendan, thanks for adding the Washington DC area. This Widget looks every bit as great as the ones for New England and the for the Carribbean hurricane tracker I already use.

Unfortunately from my testing the Widget Engine cannot handle animated gif's, so animation via a slideshow is the only option at this time.

Thank you for explaining and for making this excellent widget. I guess my only suggestion would give be to have an option for a continuous loop, or to be able to put a continuous loop link into preferences such as:http://images.intellicast.com/WeatherImg/RadarLoop/shd_None_anim.gif
I tried using that link and it crashed the widget.

Other than that this thing is awesome, one of the best widgets I have seen.
