This Widget allows its user to keep tabs on any image URL put into it. It's ideal for looking at images updated dynamically, such as webcams or traffic cameras. You can check out the Eiffel Tower or Times Square up to the minute if you want!

Merlinbeachcomber: The site appears to be intentionally refusing direct access to the image. WebImages does set a referrer field, but that appears not to be enough in this case.
I'm sorry, but there is no simple solution.

Have always been able to lift the image off this page

but the site has made some changes and it does not work anymore.
Tried the "Not a Static URL" page with no joy.
Any help would be great. Thanks

Phat MattVery powerful and flexible webcam viewer. Can even handle dynamic URLs (for cams that save pictures sequentially, rather than overwriting the last image with the latest image.) I've never found a more versatile interface for managing and viewing webcams, widget or not.

Antifreeze
MerlinWebImages is a cross-platform Widget - exactly the same version is used on Mac OS X and on Windows XP/Vista. It does not know about Windows dll's and does not explicitly access any. The Widget Engine on Windows may use various system dll's, but I have no idea what they might be and no way of finding out.

Freeze
I have been using this widget for a long time and have appreciated it. Occasionally the widget freezes and cannot be closed other than killing it thru Process Explorer. When re-opening, everything is fine. When it does freeze I open Dependency Walker and there are 2 dll's which are listed (DWMAPI.DLL and WLANAPI.DLL) which cannot be found. I am running XP and these files are not for XP but are for Vista. Do you think the widget is trying to access these files, not finding them, and then freezing?
