Mr. Latrobe: I always thought that my Widget would be in the top left of every user's screen, making it the first Widget they look at every day. I understand now that some people may place the Widget in other locations, even though it pains me to think this, such as the bottom of the screen. I will look into making the other corners resize as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Glenn, on point (1): I made the default image size 80% so that the screenshot above wouldn't be too wide. Once you change the size of the comic once, the default is no longer a default and it remembers the last size you selected. You can make the comic as large as your screen is wide to accommodate higher resolutions. On my system, the largest the comic can go is 165% (1024x768). I didn't see a point to allowing it to go bigger than your screen is wide.

on point (2): I avoided setting… an actual time to update because if everyone set their widget to update at (for example) 10pm, PST, the website would be bombarded by a lot of requests at the same time and I wouldn't want to overload the servers. By giving an interval, it spaces out the requests based on when each user loaded their widget.

Nearly perfect...

It would be nice if you could set the relative position the dilbert strip expanded from. Currently, the strip starts top-left and expands towards the bottom right. It would be great to be able to expand from any of the four corners (i.e expand from the bottom right to the top left or top right to bottom left etc - maybe even from the center out)

A couple more potential features:
(1) an option to set the default image size to the actual size of the comic (instead of 80% - makes it just a touch easier to read for higher screen resolutions)
(2) for the 24-hr update interval an option to set the time of day to check for an update

Glenn, I really like that idea! I've added not only Wally, but a total of 17 characters (including the original Dilbert). Look for it in the next version!
