Widget Converter

Are you a Widget developer? Do different Widget formats have you down? This Widget will end your misery.

Widget Converter will take a Widget which runs in the Yahoo! Widget Engine and convert it into a Widget format of your choosing, be it a folder, a zipped Widget, or the latest flat Widget format. As a bonus, it will clean up your Widget a bit in the conversion process!

Note that this Widget is a developer tool, and it is not written for converting similar accessory applications for other runtime environments to work with the Yahoo! Widget Engine.

It work fine for me....

I use latest version of widgets engine... and widgets converter v2.0

I drop "my Folder" in to "No File Selected" and Converted it when success .widgets will in Path where I store "my Folder"

When I converted "Yahoo! Weather" it store in "My Widgets" Folder in My document correctly

It worked for me...

Are you test .kon file with debug mode before converted it into .widgets?

Just been playing around with version 2.0 of this widget, and noticed that the conversion from a directory to a flat file doesn't appear to work when the widget name has a number in it. Other than that it's great.

this widget is not very useful. I need something to convert the converter!

On a Mac and converting to a flat widget seems to cause problems with the widget running on Windows, it will not load itself, so I would recommend used the Zipped Version until the bug is fixed for flat widets.

BTW, I am running windows. Maybe on mac it runs fine....
