I was laying in my bed so incredibly comfortable, having the most exciting dream ever when my mom decides to barge in my room and wake me up. She complains that its her only day off and how I should help her with all the annoying chores around the house. Now, of course I am not happy about this so I roll over, throw the pillow over my head grunt and try hardly to go back to sleep. But as you can imagine it just is not the same.
So very grumpy like I stumble out of bed with my horse hair and drag…on breath. Just as I am putting my feet on the floor, I step on one of my dogs many many toys. Great way to start out the morning I'm thinking. So after my very rude and unpleasant awakening, I walked over to my vanity table and attempt to do my hair and makeup, not very pleased about it might I add. Well guess what? Heres what. My morning continues to get worse, because my contacts were left in my dry case all night. Obviously they were a long drawn out hassle to get in my eye. Finally after the burning sensation in my eye goes away, I can finish my daily routine of "painting my barn". Then I just so happen to look over at my c.d. player/alarm clock and it is only eight o' clock a.m.! What time did mommy dearest wake me up I wonder!?! But oh well, I thought to myself, theres no going back into my peaceful slumber now. Now, one of the hardest parts of the average American teenage girl's life..DUN DUN DUN! Choosing my outfit for the day. I wonder through my clothes drawers, awaiting to find the perfect apparel for the day. (Even though I knew I would end up in a cute t-shirt and a barely wearable tight pair of blue jeans) After this catastrophe of mine that I go through every single morning, I found what I wanted to wear for this very unexceptional bad day. By the time this is over my stomach is growling like a grizzly bear that was starved for a decade and a half, and I still have not brushed my teeth yet! I walk into the house brush my teeth with my pretty purple toothbrush, and head to the kitchen for breakfast. My first thought is cereal, nice and easy. I reach for the cabinets grab for my favorite one, then walk towards the icebox to get milk. EXCEPT the one thing I need for my yummy breakfast is expired. UGH. Next plan. Well, I assume there are other things to eat in my house. Just then my momma walks in, exclaiming that she has spent half of the morning doing clothes and she really needs my help. So, I grab a grapefruit and some juice and hit the laundry room. "whoa baby" I whisper under my breath. As if I had never seen so many filthy clothes in my life. But my momma works hard everyday, she shouldn't have to on her day OFF, so overall I did these disgusting clothes for the next half hour, of spilling detergent and turning white clothes pink and pink clothes white I guess you could say. Its now edging nine forty-five, and even though I ruined some of our clothes, my momma was grateful. Though I wasn't very pleased about spending my summer mornings doing laundry. Next on the agenda of my interesting and tiring morning, saying good morning to my pit bull, Ice. He is my world and most of the happiness you witness in my big ol' cheese like smile. Every morning I get down on my knees, and he puts his paws up and over my shoulder just like a very human hug, and it melts my heart almost every time. Now that the best part of my morning is over, I figured I could take a little breather. By breather, I mean get on the computer and play for a little bit, or even get some schoolwork done. But by ten thirty I have realized I have not done one of the most important "chores". Calling my daddy and big brother, to check on them. So I reach for the phone, dial the number and imagine just what is gonna happen when I call.
So here it goes, my Nanny answers the phone as always, I politely ask for my daddy or Garrett, and she says "yeah hun, just a second..DADDY, ITS MEGGY" (of course the nickname kills me every time) but, I just anticipate my papa bears voice. Then I hear a "hey baby girl, everything OK?" and after that we carry on our average everyday conversation. Well there you have it ladies and germs, this is my morning at least one day a week. In reality, its almost ten o' clock. So as you read I need to call my Pa.
