fantastic! this is exactly what I was looking for - an unintrusive way to expand my vocabulary. wonderfully simple; perhaps a little back button to read words from the past, but not a necessity (and I don't know how difficult that would be to implement). thank you very much, and I look forward to future releases.

Yes - I am also very happy about the new version! I really like the minimalism of this widget - I get my WOTD in an email , but having it on my desktop all day helps me retain the information much more than a cursory glance in the morning. Thanks again!

sooo glad to see you've updated this - I've been using 2.0 for months and was getting sick of the "another word a day" advertisement that recently took over the wordsmith option :)

If I hadn't tested version 2.0 before releasing it, you would've thought that the editors/maintainers would have, you know, caught it?
Forgive me for being unable to be a fortune teller with regards to XML feeds and how they might change. :-)

Dude, did you even test version 2 before releasing it? The Wordsmith.org word doesn't work and when I choose dictionary.com in the prefs it displays advertisments from their site above their word of the day. Ouch. Bad release.
