BobI sent a message to Yahoo Widget support that said, in essence "Why is this happening? For what possible purpose would you remove the DJI from a feed like this? What an insane decision!"
It appears to not be the fault of Yahoo or the widget. The response I received was:

BobThis new FORCED update takes away the DJI. I tried to "downgrade" to version 2.7.2 but after running, it forces you to either close the widget or update to 2.7.3 which doesn't have the DJI.
Really bad design. Who would want a stock ticker that doesn't show this index?

KellyNot only is DJI not available for this widget the changes they made block DJI from other stock widgets!

FlapYou folks are incomprehensively stupid! Why would you allow/force ^DJI to be removed? Could MS have a hand in this???
I'll be moving elsewhere...
