Having same issue with DJI not displaying on rev 2.7.4. After installing latest rev and wasting an hour trying to get DJI back, I found a copy of older 2.7.2 on the web. Put it in a separate folder and loaded it, DJI showed up. First time it told me I'd have to upgrade to 2.7.4 to use widget, but after a few attempts, 2.7.2 stayed and I'm using it to get my DJI update with no hassles. Clearly a serious Q&A problem with this widget effort.

There is also a problem with the "Yahoo Finance" widget not updating.

The fix involved converting the widget to a flat file using the Widget Converter and scanning for "v2" and changing that to "v3" and converting it back.

I don't know if this will help here, but you might want to check the reviews for the "Yahoo Finance" widget for more detailed information on that fix.

Can't get Dow Jones. How stupid is that!

get message to update , say no
loose the widget

so I load old version , everyday

I can understand a cliché , cannot understand no action , or more importantly stopping message

maybe a message here to say some one has read reviews and something is being done

While an otherwise nice widget, having it display the Dow Jones Industrial Average is now pretty much impossible. While I can *add* it, it will won't display.
