Zipper

An animated utility for zipping and unzipping files. Drag files and/or folders onto the Widget and it will compress them into an intelligently named archive, or drop archive files and it will unzip them into folders.

Now supports the following file formats :-
Compression: ZIP, 7ZIP, TAR/GZIP and TAR/BZIP2.
Decompression: ZIP, 7ZIP, TAR/GZIP, TAR/BZIP2, Z, RAR, CAB, ARJ, LZH, CHM, HXS, CPIO, RPM and DEB, plus zipped Widgets and self-extracting executables.

Really nice tool

one option would be great: when dragging a list of files i would like an option to make single archive for each dragged files.
Could this be done ?

The most useful widget yet.

unfortunately I like the animation and zipper noise so much I find myself zipping things up all the time. This has caused it to crash when I dragged an Internet shortcut into it. Zipper then disappears but is still listed on the Konfabulator ( sorry I mean Yahoo! Widget Engine ) I have to log off then back on again to get it working ( closing and reopening Konfabulator didn't help.

This is an irrelevant problem really as I can't see why anyone would want to Zip up an Internet shortcut.

fantastic little tool. handmade design makes this one a must. By the way thumbs up for choosing 7-Zip ;)
