Zoomy Dock

by Mark Watkins

The Zoomy Dock Widget is an application launcher/dock in the style of Mac and Linux. This dock is a major rewrite from prior versions and is greatly improved. It allows drag and drop of executable/files and it will create a shortcut to that application, you may also include arguments for the application. Many icon images are supplied, or you may try and use the one associated with the file. You can remove/relocate icons by dragging them around/off the Dock.

you quick launch application is by far the best and looks the nicest, yet all games i have attached on the zoomy bar launch then crash when opened via the zoomy bar... The application destination is correct and i custom made the icons into .png files so they werent fuzzy and looked nice, yet then the programs dont work... ahhhhhhhh. Please fix so i can run games from it....

Hey, I like your Zoomy Dock.
I do a have a suggestion though: can you have an option to have it "dock" to a side of the monitor, and along with that auto hide it on that end? Example, instead of just using the auto-hide where it is invisible until my mouse passes over it, the dock should "pop-up" or become visible when my mouse goes to the bottom of the screen if that is where I have the zoomy docked.

Possible bug: In version 2.4 zoomy would open folders (drop some folder into zoomy then click and it opens). In 2.5 nothing! Along those lines, it would be nice if clicking on a folder marble droped down a collection of marbles that correspond to the contents of the folder.Version 2.4 simply opens the folder on the desktop.

    Maypo,
If you need to find a file in a specific directory, enter the directory in the "Start In" field. (i.e. C:/Documents and Settings/Mark/My Documents/etc...) Then specifiy the file as the argument in the "Arguments" field. (i.e. junk.xls). If you want post exactly what you are trying to start and I will see if I can help.
    Thanks for the feedback,
    Mark

Sorry for the multiple posts. I use FireFox with a session saver so it automatically reloads pages when I restart and apparently that was "Reposting" my comments unbeknownst to me!
